SOFTIMAGE Signs Global Distribution Agreement with PipelineFX, the Makers of Qube! Render Management Software
MONTRÉAL, Québec, April 23, 2008 – Softimage Co., a subsidiary of Avid Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: AVID), today announced that it has signed a global distribution agreement with PipelineFX, makers of Qube!™ software, the leading render farm management software for film production, game development, and digital media education around the world. Pursuant to the agreement, Softimage plans to sell PipelineFX’s Qube! rendering solutions and consulting services to Softimage customers.
Qube!, the flagship render management solution from PipelineFX, supports all of the SOFTIMAGE®|XSI®-compliant renderers, from the integrated mental ray renderer to recently supported 3rd party solutions like V-Ray and 3Delight. Using the Qube! render manager, SOFTIMAGE|XSI users can distribute and manage their rendering and remote processing jobs seamlessly, and across multiple OS platforms.
